ADVANTAGES

On this page are reported the main differences between the two technologies on the market: the parking sensor EPS ® and parking sensors with ultrasound.

EPS ® by PROXEL		Ultrasonic system
The installation does not require any modifications outside of the car, the antenna sensor is placed inside the bumper.		The ultrasonic sensors are easily visible and vulnerable.
The parking sensors EPS ® are able to detect any kind of obstacle even with the most varied forms.		The ultrasonic systems have difficulty to detect inclined surfaces or slightly reflective obstacles as shrubs and wire mesh.
Capability to approach the obstacle up to  few centimetres.		The ultrasonic system is unable to distinguish distances below 30 cm.
The parking sensor EPS ® protects the bumpers on its entire length without discontinuity points.		The ultrasonic sensors fail to protect the entire length of the bumper and has few dead detection points.

• Unlike ultrasonic's the EPS ® parking sensor does not require adjusting or realigning during fitting and is cost effective to replace in the event of an accident.
  
• The electromagnetic parking sensors have a built in maintenance system that is initialized upon activation.  It will run the diagnostics check and give you real time feedback each time you place the vehicle in reverse. Therefore there is no maintenance required on the electromagnetic parking sensor.
  
• Conversely the ultrasonic parking sensors require maintenance whenever the parking sensors get dirty or is bumped or the performance is affected. They can also get knocked out of alignment by simply washing the car.
